 From Monday 03 to Friday, 28 August 2009, UAV flights will be carried out from Koksijde Airbase to control the agreement between Defense and Ministry of Environment of the Nort Sea. The real time images will be sent to the Maritime Information Junction (MIK) in Zeebrugge, where a liaison detachment will be integrated with the various competent administrations. This exercise also fits in the preparation of the evaluation "UAV NATEVAL 2009". The success in this evaluation to NATO standards will also guarantee the 80UAV Squadron Final Operational Capability (FOC). Basically Koksijde acts thus from this week, as a forward base from which a detachment, composed of four B-HUNTER unmanned aircraft and 30 personnel from the 80 Squadron UAV Elsenborn will operate. Due to the discretion of the aircraft, no inconvenience is expected.
