From 07 to 11 July 2008 Wing Heli participates with four A-109 helicopters in exercise "ELITE" in Germany (HEUBERG).
"ELITE" means:Electronic warfare LIve Training Exercise.

The German Air Force (LUFTWAFFE) organises this exercise annually for NATO and non-NATO countries. Planes, helicopters, air defence systems (GBAD) and ground-based observers are deployed daily in the training area.

The main purpose of the exercise is to gather as much data as possible about electronic warfare and learn from the procedures of other participants. This year, 29 different nations are participating in the exercise. Units from Poland, Slovakia, France, Germany and Belgium will be present.

The Belgian heli detachment consists of 40 people including twelve pilots.
It is the third time a detachment of this kind is involved (2005, 2007, 2008).
